Construction of cable

Conductor: Made of high quality oxygen-free copper to ensure stable conductivity.

Insulation: Each core wire is insulated with PVC material.  PVC insulation layer provides good electrical insulation properties and a certain mechanical strength.

Cabling: Multiple insulated cores are regularly twisted, possibly supplemented by filler materials, to form a round cable core.

Jacket: The outermost extruded polyvinyl chloride (PVC) jacket effectively protects the inner cable core from mechanical damage, chemical corrosion and moisture intrusion.

Common specifications

Our customized KVV cables are available from 2 to 61 cores with smaller nominal conductor sections such as 0.75mm², 1.0mm², 1.5mm², 2.5mm², etc.

Product feature

Rated voltage: 450/750 V or 0.6/1 kV

Long-term allowable operating temperature: 70°C. This temperature is determined by PVC material characteristics, and its heat resistance rating is relatively limited.

Installation temperature: laying ambient temperature should not be lower than 0°C, to prevent PVC material brittle cracking.

Flame retardant: Standard KVV cables do not have flame retardant (ZR) or fire resistant (NH) characteristics. If flame retardant function is required, models such as ZR-KVV (flame retardant type) or NH-KVV (fire resistant type) should be selected.

Environmental protection: PVC materials will release toxic smoke containing halogen when burning, corrosive. Therefore, in densely populated or underground facilities and other occasions, it is gradually being replaced by low-smoke halogen-free cables (such as WDZ-KYYJPE).

Mechanical properties: High quality Copper Core PVC Insulated Sheathed Control Cable has a certain tensile strength and wear resistance, suitable for indoor fixed installation. However, it cannot withstand strong mechanical external force (such as direct burial may lead to extrusion damage), and it needs to be protected by means of pipe penetration or cable tray.
