ZRVV cable model analysis

ZR: stands for "flame retardant" characteristics.

V: stands for PVC insulation.

V: stands for polyvinyl chloride (PVC) sheath.

ZRVV cable is essentially a flame-retardant enhanced version of standard VV cable designed to limit the spread of fire while also being cost-effective. It does not have the characteristics of fire resistance (i.e. keeping the line intact in case of fire).

Cable construction

Conductor: optional copper (Cu) or aluminum (Al).

Insulation layer: PVC material added with flame retardant.

Jacket: PVC containing flame retardant components, usually gray or black.

Halogen characteristics: halogen, combustion may produce smoke and corrosive gases.
