What is the Fire Resistant XLPE Insulated PVC Sheathed Power Cable?

Our customized NHYJV cable is not an ordinary cable, but a functional safety cable. In the event of a fire, when the common cable has already been fused and failed, it can still maintain the circuit integrity for a specified period of time (such as 90 or 120 minutes), and continuously supply power to the most critical life safety equipment. This is at the expense of ordinary electrical performance, in exchange for the survival of the extreme conditions.

Structure and Advantages

Conductor: High-purity oxygen-free copper to ensure excellent electrical conductivity.

Refractory Layer (Core Soul): The conductor is tightly wrapped with a refractory mica tape. This is the key to achieving a fire resistant function. In a hot flame, the mica tape burns into a strong, ceramic-like insulating shell that surrounds the conductors and prevents short circuits, thus maintaining electricity even after the insulation is burned.

Insulation (YJ): XLPE is used to provide long-term temperature resistance up to 90°C and excellent electrical characteristics, ensuring efficient operation of the cable under normal conditions.

Sheath (V): A polyvinyl chloride (PVC) outer sheath that provides mechanical protection and an identification color (usually orange or red).

If the project requires continuous power supply in the event of a fire and requires environmental protection (low smoke zero halogen), a higher rated WDZN-YJY (low smoke zero halogen fire resistant cable) must be selected.
